Sidney, Owner
As a child, I would run and play at my grandmother's five acres of untamed land in Washington State where I was raised. Finding frog eggs, butterflies, and the occasional deer, nature became my personal playground. This experience of learning through joyful curiosity in the natural world is what I wish to pass on to the next generation.

My BA degree is in science education, with a focus on the natural sciences. I have been working and volunteering in classrooms since 2008. My experience spans all the way from early childhood, through high school.

Safety is my #1 priority. After 6 years of active duty military service in the US Air force, I have extensive training and experience covering a multitude of procedures from disaster preparedness/emergency response, to basic combat medic training, to equipment inspections.

“You’re more than just a mom” is a saying I love… because as a mama of three kiddos— I wear a lot of hats! Often literally, too, because children thrive when learning through imaginative play. My passion for nurturing and empowering these tiny future leaders is what led me here. I have an ever-growing interest in researching and studying child development, and am always looking to improve my parenting methods. I view discovering and sharing new information as an adventure, which lead me to obtain my BS in journalism.
Personally, being in nature is my love language! Our family feels happiest while hiking, rock climbing, and playing outdoors. I’m a homeschooler mama, and am married to an amazing chef along with my own culinary school training and food service experience.
